I’m a Christian. I love Jesus with all my heart. That being said, I hate it that we live in a world that judges and condemns you based on who you fall in love with, especially when those condemning are supposedly fellow “Christians”. We’re not on this earth to judge others— we’re here to worship the King, to lead by example, and to LOVE others. If someone is fortunate enough to find someone that they love more than life itself, regardless of gender, who are we to condemn that? Gay marriage should be legal. It sickens me that it’s even an issue at this point. For those of you who use the Bible as a rule book, and who yield it as a weapon in which to attack others, you’re using it wrong. The whole point in Jesus dying on the cross was to wipe the slate clean. The New Covenant is written on our HEARTS, not in ink. Finally, if you truly believe marriage should be kept ‘traditional’, I urge you to look at this picture. Take a look at all the legal variations of marriage in the Old Testament, then tell me why gay marriage shouldn’t be legal.
